RAID-0 results HD Tach

I dont see how you consider a HDtach throughput test an indication of system instability. AFTER you go run the appropriate tests to check for cpu and ram instability, then I would suggest running some harddrive tests by moving large blocks of data arround and then checking the data consistency.
 
I should have been more spciffic when i said tests: prime tests cpu stability primarily, it does some stuff through ram but ram errors can also be 1 in a billion so to speak and it requires more thurough testing than prime.
 
my post wasn't centered around stability, after adding this second hard drive and setting up raid I am getting strange instability with the same overclock. I am completely familiar with the limits of my complete system, and was using the HT Tach results as an idea for others to post if things were looking OK.
I feel my instability is caused from either the chipset drivers, or possibly my PSU crapping on me.
But I'm still trying to pinpoint the problem, this is gonna take time to figure out..
as far as your advice on prime/memtest and such, I've gone thru this months ago, and yes everything is beyond stable, which is why this strange occurence of instability is gettin on my nerves.
 
Although everything was stable last time you checked, I'd suggest trying it again. Adding another hard drive takes more amperage, so you might change power output just enough to cause instability.

 
I've been testing stability with the new drive. Everything is stable. That's why I'm believing it's either the PSU or the chipset drivers, because this just started after adding the second HD and drivers.

My thoughts exactly. Your description screams power supply
