Hi guys,
I just need some help here i just bought recently 2 x 320GB 7200.10 hard drives from Fry's. I put them in RAID 0, in vista 64bit operating systems. They work fine until you put them under stress some time they work totally fine some time they they just stop in windows, and every things stops.

There is no error massage, or any thing. Every thing just stops in the middle or what ever the situation is. Usually you hear the hard drives running them crunching or moving data, then suddenly they stops, dead silent and computer freezes.

What could be the problem, i have RAID 0 with 64kb block size or what ever they call it. Could be the bad hard drives, or bad vista 64bit drivers.

I mean if bad hard drives then they should not even work at all to begin with right? bad drivers, there should be some error massage right?

I am really confuse, i don;t know what to do, any help would be appreciatable. I think i made my problem clear, if not please ask.

Thanx in advance, i was thinking is the block size is to small 64kb ?

Well i have a few questions...

Are you using the onboard connections w/ your mobo?If so what motherboard do you have?
Or are you using a PCI type raid controller?
Are you doing hardware raid or software?
If your doing a software raid are you using windows to do it or 3rd party software?
Why are you using a Raid0?

Well i am using onboard sata connections on the motherboard i mean. I am using Motherboard RAID 0 i think which is hardware. The reason i am using RAID 0 is better performance.

You could check the disks using your manufacturer's utility. If they work, then I'd say it is likely a driver problem.
