I am using 1 wd raptor now, on my ic7 board.
Would there be a noticable performance boost in games if i get another one and use raid0?
I read from somewhere that it increases loading times only, is that right?

Yeah, this one is a pretty common sense answer. During an actual game, such as a mission in BF:1942, what's your hard drive doing? Nothing, really. Only when levels load. That's why you see so many people saying games are memory hogs. So no, it doesn't really help in actual gameplay. I was very unimpressed when I had a single Raptor. Nothing special. But I grabbed it off the shelf and bought a second one, for a RAID config, and I am very happy.

You'll get an Instant 25-30% or more overall system load boost though. Your OS will boot alot faster, games will load alot faster, and if you do work in photoshop, 3ds max, or others RAID0 is heaven sent for loading large files.

Read times arne't affect much by RAID0. Write speeds are though. 2 36GB raptors in RAID0 are definitely worth it if you need to cut down load times here and there.
