im thinkin of runnin raid 0 on nf7-s with 80gb seagate sata 8mb 7200rpm and 80gb seagate ata 2m 7200rpm using abit sata converter. i know it's possible cos i've heard of people runnin it but i want to know how stable its goin to be? n how much faster?

n how fast is raptor compared to 80gb seagate 7200rpm sata raid 0? are there any perf diff between 36gb n 74gb raptor?

well, just remember if one of those components fails the array is probably gone.

u r probably right.. maybe i should use two 80gbs seperately. but then again wats the chance of abit sata converter failing? n is the extra perfermance worth the risk?

i'll prob get raptor on one system n have 2x 80g on other system.. how much is raptor against 2x 80g on raid 0?

th raptor will "feel" better than a pair of 80's in raid. My raptors will push out 60MB/s non-raided

yeah im gonna get a raptor after i get new video card.. n have two 80gigs on other system. still not sure if its worth runnin them in raid 0.. i guess i'll have to try n c..
