For a long time I was led to believe that in an ideal video editing workstation, you would use a pair of hard drives in RAID 0. The reason is that RAID 0 supposedly has a much better write performance and makes it ideal for capturing video.
Now I'm reading on these forums that say it's not necessary and that a lone SATA hard drive can do the job just fine.
Is this true? Because if it is, you just saved me the trouble of buying a pair of hard drives.
