Hi all,

I was just wondering, which type of RAID is more common, RAID 0+1 or 1+0? What do most you guys out there use between the two? I have read up on the differences, and since they both require 4 drives, I don't see why you wouldn't use 1+0. Is it not true, that in 1+0 you can have multiple hd fail, but still have a working array, but with 0+1, if even two go, you have lost your data? Is there a big slow down in read/write between the two choices? If not, why would anyone choose 0+1 over 1+0? Thanks.

I guess it all depends on what you want to accomplish with the raid level you choose. what do you plan on doing. Do you want speed or fault tolerance
