Rage E3 2008 Trailer

Meh Rage is looking alright. Ill most likely wait to I see a good deal on it. Im glad ID is working on a new game though instead of just doing Doom and Quake (even though they really had nothing to do with Quake 4).

Same, good to see them working on something new.
 
I just can't believe id went with EA (or "EA Partners") to publish Rage. It seems like they've had a pretty good thing going with Activision, for a pretty long time, and I'm just wondering What The Hell They're Thinking here.

I'd like to get Rage via Steam on zero day, and I doubt EA's going to permit that sort of thing.

I doubt EA has any control over that. ID will just have to go to Valve and be like "hey we want to use Steam to publish Rage." Or less there is a specific clause in the contract that states that they have to stick with EA for publishing of RAGE for this many of years.

Confused by, if its a racer or another fps'er. Looks like the latter. Not very excited, since its console only. FPS on consoles sucks, imo.
 
It's an FPS/arcade racer hybrid. Supposedly open-ended. And it's not console only -- it's PC, Mac, X360 and PS3 (same exact engine across all four platforms).

I think how ID described it was, you drive to certains areas of the game, get out kill some things and then get back in and drive to a different area and repeat.

The game looks strange, definitely need more info before I even consider buying it.
 
aww..not for PC? Oh well.. doom 4 is the only game by ID I'm looking forward to.

As long as EA continues to publish games that have draconian DRM similar to the scheme used in Spore and Mass Effect, there's no way I can support any game that EA has had anything to do with. Even if it were the absolute best game ever made, I would refuse to buy and play it.
