is the Radon9600xt a good card for 169.99? bear in mind i dont have pci xpress so this is the best AGP card i can afford right now, the card in my system is a 64mb geforce4 mmx

is it worth the $$?
 
You can get those 9600xt's for cheaper these days. I would spend 100$ max on that card. You should look around the Sunday Ad's because BB sometimes has the 9600XT for 100$ after rebate.
 
I got the ATI 9600xt from zipzoomfly for $155 which included free 2 day shipping. Yeah you can get it cheaper but I wanted to go with the ATI brand. I have no problems playing Doom 3 at 1024x768 on medium quality. It's an alright mid-range card, but if you can afford the extra 70 or so bucks I would go for the nvidia 6600gt.
