• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.

Radioactive@home

Radioactive at home is a good idea, i wish that handheld scanners should cost less :D

The kit they are selling is much cheaper than a geiger detector. At least one that they have been able to develop for. I think the geiger detectors they have coded for are over $400. But I haven't looked into them in quite a while. If you have the know how, they may even give you the details of building your own.

Been a long time since we posted about this project. They recently announced the possibility of ordering more detectors. These have not been available in years. So, now is the chance to possibly get one or more. Everyone interested in one please either post in this thread or let him know directly - http://radioactiveathome.org/boinc/forum_thread.php?id=551#3756 He did not say how long he would wait but he is looking around at suppliers/manufacturers to build them. He said there would be a savings per unit on shipping if you order more than one at a time. I do not know if it would be better for [H] members to order all in the same order or to order separately. This would be internationally shipped from him. So, anyone in the USA would need to be prepared to wait on customs.

I would like one, but can’t register on his site. Old recaptcha ... where have i seen that one recently ? ;-)

Wonder if shipping to japan will work ?
