Radiator Soldering Fix Question

I'm trying to fix a leak in one of the tubes (holds the fins) going across the Rad. Are there any other sites out there showing the steps etc? This site is showing the same problem I'm in.

Really want to try and solder the pin hole instead of buying a filler / epoxy. Any suggestions on fixing this?
 
Maybe just check with a radiator shop. heck they probably would do it super cheap especially when you tell them what it's for. Just a suggestion.
 
I actually just had to do something similar to this today. I bought a heater core and replaced the oem pipe with a set of 3/8 fittings. All you have to do is get the section right next to the hole really really hot, so that it melts the solder when the iron isn't touching it. This will cause the solder to get all the way into the hole. Just be careful- if it seems like you keep adding solder and you the hole isnt closing, you are putting on too much.

I find that for small repairs, the absolute smallest solder from radio shack works well- its so thin that it melts at a lower temperature and seems to flow better. I think its like 1.99.

I haven't done it with an iron before- since I am using an unpainted heater core, I went straight with a torch. But, the idea is the same- you want the radiator to melt the solder, not the iron.
 
Saturday I went ahead with the idea posted in the link. Used a soldering iron and placed the tip right into the hole. Left it there for a few mins till the surround metal was hot enough to melt the solder (sanded area and used flux too) Yesterday I used a test setup with a pump, rad, and block. Let that running for 8 hours and no leaks. Go ahead and say I'm good to go.
