Radiator Risers

I think im gonna go ahead and water cool my current setup instead of waiting to buy everything on down the road. I wanna do a top mount external radiator setup and I was thinking something like the swiftech radbox and just drill some holes in my case, but they are 25 dollars a pop, at least that is the cheapest i could find them. from voyuermod i think. anyone got a better suggestion or know where i might find some cheap? The radiator will most likely be a BIX 2. I was also considering the Aqua Computer Airplex Evo external mounting kit from sharka, but I dont think that will work well with the BIX 2

Appropriate sized threaded rods with some nuts and washers should do the same thing as the rad box.

Or, use some of the PVC/vinyl spacers. Either way should work fine.

this is exactly what I did. I just used 6 3" bolts to suspend it off the top of my case.

1.First, take a paper cut out of your rad, I used BIP2.
2. Lay the cut out flat on the top of your case as to where you want it.
3. Use a razer blade the mark small x's or circles as to where your screw holes line up on your rad.
4. Go to the hardware store, pick up some 1/8" x 3" stell bolts and washers to fit (3 washers for each bolt) (You also need 2 nuts for each bolt)
5. Drill as many 1/8" holes as bolts in the top of your case. I only used 6, but the rad has 8. I didn't want 4 bolts right next to eacher.
5.5(missed this step) Drill 2 holes the size of your OD on the tubing where you want them to come through to hook up to your rad.
6. Flip case on side
7. Put washer on bolt and stick bolt through hole so it sticks out the top of the case.
8. Put another washer on bolt and put 2 nuts on the bolt and stack another washer on top of both nuts (text picture will follow) But don't tighten down any of the bolts yet.
9. This is where I placed fans onto the bolts, the fan holes should be bigger then the bolts and should slide on easily.
10. Now screw the bolts into the rad.
11. Tighten down nut 1 to scecure the bolt from dropping down in the case.
12. Secure nut 2 to hold up the fan to the rad.

thanks, and no problem. I really don't like to brag to anyone, but I do like how it turned out...... Man did I ever hate drilling the holes through my case but in the end it all worked out.
