well i have my rad mounted on the back under my psu fans....

well my system is on full load it blows out hot air and heating up the nozzles on the rad.

so i did a flip and put the nozzles on the bottom

and now the problem is when i try to bleed out the system ... the water is just draining out

and the pump is getting little to no feedback and sometimes runs dry so i have to shutoff

the pump.....

now.... i just want to make sure.... is the rad positiion the main problem or is it that my

pump is dead?

what can it be?

but iu really don't think it's the pump because when i close the connection... the pump

pulls and feeds evnough water to the system but only does that when i try to bhleed it.....

thanks.... for helping... so please tell me it is my radiator and if anyone has problems like

me.....

If the nozzles are on the bottom it seems to me that you get air inside the rad and therefore the water can't circulate like it should. With the nozzles on top the air just goes through and doesn't get caught. The highest point in the system mustn't be a dead end if you understand what I mean.

I want to help, but I can't understand your post at all. It looks like you're trying to write a poem or something.

Could you please try to write more coherently?

Posting your system specs would help out too.

ok...... specs? i don't think you need to know that.....

i mean for my question.... which i read and i don't really understand either.. hahahahahaha

well..... would it stop the water from flwoing at it's peak perf. if the nozzles on the rad were on the bottom... that was my question....

2ndly it's a swiftech mag pump.....

that's all you need to know mostly right?

thanks a lot people

it is strange that, according to your post, the PS is blowing accros your nozzles on the radiator. if this is true, and you feel comfy w/ it, you can take the PS case open and flip the fans around to where they are facing out as oppose to facing in

as for you specs, yeah we kinda do need to see them, i mean what kind of processor do you have, how much heat is generated by your system(or do you know), what kind of case do you have, maybe we can solve this by looking at your case. which direction are the barbs facing? (in the case or out, i would think in, but you never know). also fan direction.

just out of curiosity, why are you so reluctant to give out specs?

so very sorry if i sounded rude

but i am at work and was at work when i posted my first post on this thread...

i will try to get the pics up tonight....

thanks for the interest....

and i'll post everything you guys might need to know

thanks a lot

busy so gotta be out... hehehe

here's the specs...

asus a7v8x
amd 2200 right now at stock speeds
corsair cmX512-3200XL
radeon 9800 pro
dd maze 4
226 watt pelt.
dd extreme rad.
swiftech mag pump
( oops forgot my inno reservoir. hehe )

and 120 mm fan with over 100 cfm ...

but.....

im having a problem

my cpu is getting REALLy hot

i think it's might be becauise i have the fan blowing into the computer... because i wanted cold air to hit the rad first rather than the hot case air...

but idk

at stock with that setup with water system in tip working condition

( yea i fixed it )

it's running at 59C AT IDLE!!!!!!!!! im like WTF?

idk whyyyyyyyy but it's like so hot... someone please help

BTW.... that pic is from my phone cam... my digi my dad took so... sorry for the pic... hehehe

try taking the TEC unit off and just running water over the block instead of using a TEC.

also, you didnt metion if you had a power supply for that Pelt. do you? or did i miss it?

check that the block is mounted properly too. I remember the first time I mounted my WW block my system would thermal shutoff after like 10 seconds, on second remount my CPU was @ like 56C, and on the third and final remount my CPU was @ 39C lol

it's actually my 6th remount
i put the steel rods on real tight this time because one was loose before

and i checked if it was on tight enough before..... and it is... really REALLy tight....

so i have NOOOOOOOOOO idk WHYYYYYYYYY this thing is acting like this...

another question...

this computer used to run at around 35'c with a 122 watt pelt

and it was a maze 3 wb... until my friggen pos cousin who loves buttons comes and switches on the psu for the pelt...

now when this is happening im at work just playing games and when i come home...

the comp is a little flooded and the whole case ( because it's clear ) i saw it swallowed in condensation... water was dripping everywhere...

but thank god my my vid card was ok... haha

that's all was worried about....

because it's right under...

but to the point now

would it like destroy the temp sensor on the cpu if it got a little too hot because the water was boiling when i got home and the tubes.... ( as you can see int he pics above that there are 2 color tubes...the clearer ones being the new ones. ) were melted

would that effect it?

i mean im running a pelt that has way more power and i knwo it's removing heat effectively because i can feel it on the rad itself...

what can be the problem now? does anyone know?

like i said, try removing the pelt and put the water block directly to the cpu. see if it is the pelt's cold plate not working like its supposed to.

tried it without the pelt..... it only lowered it to around 45... maybe it's because of the neoprene that it's not hitting the cpu head enough .. meaning with the pelt on... i took the neoprene off when i tried just the block... but maybe i should try and take off the neoprene and do it ? or something idk can that be it ? please tell me.

because i mean taking my block off and on is a real hassle

and

you know what's funnie?

my 122 watt used to freeze the air and have ice around the cold plate....

but .... with the 226 it only get condensation.....

i don't get it...

and i have another question

can a a cpu get SOO hot like 2 secs after boot that it can win the temp of a pelt

and reach temps of 65? i do'nt think that's possible and yea i mean in cel. deg. haha

thanks a lot

First things first... You will probably get more responses to your post if you write things clearly and read them before you actually hit the submit button. Your posts are a PITA to read and comprehend.

What is the ambient temperature in the room? When the computer is running, are there any hot spots on the radiator? I would guess that your waterblock mounting or your radiator setup is inadaquate. Since you say that you are sure on the waterblock install, I would say look at the radiator, maybe you have an airlock/bubble inside.

1. Write well on the internet
2. Actually work and not game while at work
3. ...
4. profit

well, look at his screen name. correct me if i am wrong, but i am willing to bet he is vietnamese(sp?) and lives in NYC ;)

i had a couple of friends who spoke just as coherently on the web, and they just got citezenship last year...

ANYWAY... i would say take Everything out, and start from scratch (leak test and everything). sometimes you have to start over to remedy a "rig-job" from a long time ago.

thanks for the insults... ^^

viet? no...

well i tried to write as best as i could but due to the lack of time i have at work i can't write as clearly as i have things in my head and also i don't have the time to do grammar check, spell check...

sorry for the inconvience my so called [H] people... tell you the truth... you guys ... never mind.

well if you truly want help then take the time next time to articulate your problem better. If you don't have the time to write a properly worded question then why should any of us have the time to answer it?

no insults are meant, i was referring to the "g00k" and "nyc" in your name. granted gook is a derrogatory(sp?) term for viet's, i have a friend(ill never understand why) that likes to be referred to as that. now that nyc was a shot in the dark, New York City is usually referred to as "nyc". sorry for the misconception...

anyway, you should probably no take this stuff personally, i do most of my posting at work, but i probably have a less stressful job. plus, i work nightshift (1530-0200) so there isnt much in the way of upper management.

just know that we tried. if you wish to leave, then that is your buisness. however, if you wish to stay, i agree with hi-tech, please try and think out your problem and refrain from using sentence fragments so often. articulate. we will try and help as much as possible.

BTW, did you try taking everything apart and starting from scratch? that might fix your problem. but remember if all else fails...rtfm, y'know?

Go here for the background on how peltier cooling works (peltier cooling can be finicky if not done right ,,, as i'll explain :) ):

http://www.digit-life.com/articles/peltiercoolers/

"That's why it's necessary to use not only a powerful fan in the cooler, but also other different fans inside the case."

" The modules, dissipating much heat, require the relative fans and heatsinks which would manage to carry off the heat effectively. We should notice, that the thermoelectric modules have a quite low performance factor and they are themselves a powerful source of heat. The usage of these modules might cause overheating of the other components inside the system block."

Try a better fan maybe?

Dunno what else to suggest, hopefully that link is a lil informative, I enjoyed reading it. Good Luck :D :D :D
