Radeon opengl issue

Is anyone else having issues with opengl on these chipsets?
Mine is the 2100 on board.
I bought it specifically too run an opengl application.
I have tried 5 different drivers including the omega drivers.
Any suggestions?
 
ATI is not know for their OGL Drivers. nVidia is.

I had issues with mu old x800,, but my new 3870 is stellar in OGL.

I know it's not of any help, but try an older driver.

I guess im just going too have too buy a nVidia card for it if that dont work.
 
never did get it working am going to have to order a nVidia card.
What stinks is I don't even have a monitor hooked up too it just use vnc remotely but it needs opengl too render images of the outcome of the test runs.
 
Beware that vnc might be the issue as well. try running with a monitor to test before you dismiss the hardware as the issue.

I do too much remote work and a lot of screens look differnt under remote, but are fine on the local display.
 
What is the actual problem? Does the program not run? Does it give you an error? Or is it just really choppy/low performance?

It uses opengl too render one image of the results. (cad software)
It doesnt render.
I tried the mysql opengl test and it fails with version info is missing so its not just my application.

thought of that and totaly uninstalled vnc and used a monitor same problem.

Uh... what? "mysql opengl test"? mysql is a database program that doesn't use opengl...

Anyway, hope the 8400gt works out better for you.

It is part of the mysql Workbench.
My mistake on leaving the Workbench off.
Sorry about that.

Eventualy(3-4 months) Im building a faster cad machine and the 8400GT will go in that and the current system will become my net/web/email computer and the 2100 will be fine for that.
