I have heard that the two aren't extremely compatible. I recently purchased a NForce II chipset board and have read alot of posts in different forums, that the two together sometimes don't like each other. Before I do the installing, is there anything that I should do during the install e.g. driver install order. etc. or something to look for beforehand to not have issues arise? Or, is it kind of luck of the draw? I hear people say "don't install this driver on the NForce board." Anything I should be leary of? Have seen posts about Asus NForce boards with Radeon cards having issues. Any help would be appreciated. This may have should of been in the motherboard forum, but I am mainly concerned with my 9600XT working with the motherboard. Most other issues I should be able to solve.
 
When I hooked my stuff up (9800pro, Abit NS7 nforce 2 board) I installed 9800pro then mobo drivers. No particular reason I did it in that order, but I had no problems. Also a buddy of mine, who has the same board, recently picked up the 9600xt and he had no probs with install either.
 
I don't think you will have any problems. Just because the video card is an ATI and the MoBo chipset is an Nvidia, doesn't mean they won't work together.

Just delete the display folder once you unpack the chipset drivers and the audio* folders if you have your own soundcard. Some people have problems with the IDE driver, but other than that there are no real problems. I known problem with the IDE drivers is that you will not be able to burn discs, or possible HD corruption. I and many others run fine with them, so just be aware. For order just make sure you install your nForce 2 drivers prior to installing your videocard drivers, and DX9b sometime prior to the videocard drivers.
 
I've built 4 systems with NForce2 boards and ATI cards in the past year, and none of them have had any problems.
 
i have an nforce board and a 9800 pro. i havent hadany problems, save for battlfield vietnam. but people are saying the problem is just the nforce board, not both.
