Radeon 9800 Extra Fan Mod

I have a 9800pro flashed to XT with a VGA silencer. My card's idle temps are usually 67-70C. I have an extra 80mm fan that I laid down on the top of the card, and it lowered my temps almost 10C less. Anyone know of any mods to mount an extra fan onto a Radeon?

You can always just mod the cooler and fit the fan onto that? By that I mean, you could take off the plastic cover, cut an appropriately sized hole into it, and either make screw holes in the aluminum cooler, or epoxy the fan to the cover. :D

What about making a small board that'll plug into the PCI slot, cut a hole for a 80mm fan and blow it upwards onto the card?

For that matter just buy a pci case cooler.

The Vantec Spectrum is what you are talking about, except it has 2x80mm fans and blue lights. It keeps my 6800 Ultra "cool".

i'm talking about the top of the vid card, not the bottom where there's already the vga silencer.

If you have an unused slot in your casing above the AGP one, you can put a card cooler there to blow down onto your video card.

By the way, your 9800P idles at 70C?? Mine doesn't even reach 60C under load.
Of course my reading is only based on my Cooldrive4 temp probe, how are you getting your reading?

my temps are from the thermal diode on the 9800. And the case temps are from my Intel made mobo.
