I just saw a Radeon 9700 TX on ebay. I was wondering if these really exist and what are they? Is it clocked slower or faster than a regular radeon 9700? Or is it just a typo?

only 9600 and 9800

the 9800 replaced the 9700 and the 9600 replaced the 9500

It was actually 263MHz/263MHz and used the same 3.6ns (or 3.3ns if you got "lucky") memory as the 9700 non-pro. I had one in my Dimension 8250.

It overclocked OK, but not great, with the standard BIOS flashed to a 9700np. I got around 315MHz core and 300MHz memory. Some people on rage3d got higher memory overclocks with a 9700 Pro BIOS.

Just think of it as a 9700 np.

Well I just bought one on ebay. I'll let you guys know how it goes. I'm hoping I can get it up to a Radeon 9700 pro.
