radeon 9600 se new build help!!!

just building a new a64 3000 system with an asus kv8 mb, having issues getting it to boot for first time and i think its because voltage for 9600 se is 3.3 and mb only supports 1.5 but i can't find any information on asus's sight specifying which voltage the 9600 se runs, i also tried throwin in an msi gf4 4800 and it still didn't work but i think thats a 3.3v card as well, can someone confirm this?
