Hi guys, I know I know, newbie. I'm a vicious troller.
I figure you guys will be able to help me though.
First Specs:
AMD XP 2600+
ATI Radeon 9500 128mb
1024mb PC3200 DDR400 RAM
A7n8X Deluxe Mobo
Windows XP
In Far Cry, and in the past Call of Duty this happens after 1 or 2 minutes of play..every time, making it unplayable. In Battlefield, I can go hours or even days without this problem but it still happens.
Star Wars Galaxies runs like a charm on my system, except for this occassional crash. And we all know the SWG engine is a MESS.
The Problem:
While playing..the game will freeze completely...9 times out of 10 you can hear that the computer is still live though because you can hear the game still running/cutscenes playing what the hell ever.
My monitor then shuts off/ goes into sleep mode.
I have uninstalled drivers completely/installed newest drivers etc. etc.
I am at an absolute loss here guys. Do you know of this problem, and possibly a solution?
Thanks in advance.
P.S.
I've set my voltage to 1.7 from 1.5, I don't think it's my power supply.
I've completely wiped my drivers and am using the latest Omega drivers.
I've turned of VUP in my vid-card options so I've tried all that.
Any suggestions?
