I've got my Crucial Radeon 9100 128mb which has both analogue and DVI connections, so I thought I could use dual displays by using a DVI dongle but alas it appears I cannot. The DVI connection on the card lacks the analogue signals, thats the four satelite pins around the cross, and the cross is just a horizontal slot. Seeing that I cannot connect an analogue device does this mean that it does not support dual displays? ie if I connect a DVI device then I would not be able to use the analogue device at the same time?

I'm not certain for sure... but I think you can. You can't do dual analog or dual dvi, to be sure, but you should be able to hook up dvi and vga at the same time. You have the card... do you have any dvi monitors that you can try it with?

not at the moment :S

the card also has SVideo out but I've no idea how that will relate.

The R200 chip doesn't have the second ramdac needed for a second VGA built in. An external ramdac chip is needed to allow a DVI->VGA dongle. A lot of OEMs didn't put the extra chip on thier 8500le and 9100 boards, presumably to reduce costs. Sounds like you got one of these "low cost" versions.
Basically you just can't have 2 analog displays on that card. VGA + DVI will work though, as well as using the TV-out + one of the others.
