Looking at these video cards. debating between the ASUS one and Gigabyte. i read that the ASUS Directcu II cards push the air out of the case while the Gigabyte Windforce cards push the air from the card back into the case (even though this means lower gpu temps). Can anyone verify this as I haven't been able to find consistent information on this. I generally prefer to have both low cpu/gpu temps.
 
Both cards have fans on top. Both cards fans blow the air in a single direction, directly away from the top of the card. As these cards are oriented downward, they both push air downwards in the case. Niether card, unless modified, will push air directly out of your case. Both will simply move the air away from the cooling heatsinks on the card.
 
That's a good explanation. Both rely on having a case with good airflow. I believe the Gigabyte does run slightly cooler and quieter than the ASUS due to the larger fans.
 
Sapphire is the one I got! Great reviews about them. Anyone you get I'm sure you'll be happy.
 
The sapphire looks nice but a nontransferable 2 year warranty kind of sucks when compared to some competitors.
 
I went sapphire, and I love how quiet it is after my previous cards...

sure it's only 2 year warranty, but really... who doesn't buy a new card in 2-3 years anyways?
