A friend is willing to sell it to me for that much because of his employee discount, i was wondering if you guys thinnk thats a good deal?

Yes. OC that puppy and you've got yourself GTX580 level performance for under $300.

Brand new? Amazing deal! Jump on it.

Used? Decent deal if you have the money to spend.

should be brand new, but if used i might be able to lower the price
i think its a good deal no matter what since they are $350 new?

It's a decent deal if used, not "good" since then it would depend on the condition of the item. If it's $250 or lower for used, then I'd say it's good, but you have to keep in mind things like whether or not you're getting a full warranty, whether or not they overclocked, whether or not they take care of their shit, etc. etc.

well considering it sjust came out a few weeks ago and i would get the receipt theres fully warranty, and the likes

Yes, if he's willing to give them to you. Since he's your buddy, that's usually no problem; however, for sellers online, many are unwilling to give over their receipts for some reason... (probably because of personal information left on them? No idea, but it's annoying)

Really, that's a pretty good deal even if it were used as long as it is in good shape. That's 30%+ off of retail for a card that was released less than a month ago.

I'm absolutely in love with my 7870, and I paid full price!

Yes great price. That's GTX 580 level performance with the power consumption of a GTX 460.

im thinking about selling it for $300 plus shipping
opened just to make sure everything was there!
