radeon 5750 stoped working after reeboot

can anyone shed any light, new card was working fine for 1 day. then when i reboot its just a blank screen, i can get my igpu working no problem but not with the card fitted. i have set bios also to igpu only and still no joy. i only get boot screen when card is removed.
all was working fine untill last reboot... :mad:

im pulling my hair out
 
Dead card? If its under warranty try doing an RMA.Are there any signs of physical damage?
 
What is rma and no no signs of damage., like i say was working brill. then after maybe the 5th reboot it was ju

not even used it to its full potential only had desktop graphics on and music media..

whhooooo... using my knowledge of xbox repairs i dived in the deep end.. removed the heatsink and fan, and saw a huge blob of compound cleaned the gpu and heatsink. till shinney then droped liquid flux under the gpu chip. then got the trusty variable speed heat gun out and reflowed the gpu... then put a rice sized blob of compound HQ silver (arctic). and now its recognised now in windows... not booted up with it, but at least it will boot while plugged in.. downloading drivers as we speak.. will keep you all posted.
 
Ok, so i have tested and tested... i have a gpu monitor. when running cod 4. temp doesnt go over 42c.. playing full bluray. also 3d rendering. ive set fan speed to 60%. also over clocked using ati overclock. this card is amazing. so it was down to either to much compound or gpu chip needed an overhaul... you have no idea how chuffed i am... everything is stable also dts and true hd running flawlessly.. conclusion its all the same in mass production... thats if it is down to the heat sink compound.. to much is a bad thing the amount of 360's ive seen with compound smeared all over the chip.
 
surely someone has a comment on this thread... this must be the problem i have read so much about... most probably too much heat compound.
