sincerely i like the idea of included AIO like the 295X if the price its right and enough to compete with the upcoming nvidia gtx 980..
I agree, I really like the AIO cooler solution the 295x2 has...
While I like the option, I wish it *WERE* an option, so those of us and use a full cover GPU block wouldn't be paying $50~$80 more for an AIO CLC we are going to take off and then never be able to use for anything else.
It's kind of funny how the Nvidia forum has been littered with next gen rumor threads for what seems like 9 months now and not a peep from AMD. In fact it's kind of depressing. I wish AMD would open up a little. However, I do not see a default AIO liquid cooling solution being a smart idea despite how neat it might be.
Nvidia made the right decision to invest millions into a cooling solution for the 600/700 cards and I hope AMD realizes the usefulness in that investment. With that said, efficiency would probably be the next best thing as we don't want them to have a runaway situation like some of their latest 220W CPU's.

Somehow the review sites (not [H]) jumped through hoops to demonstrate Hawaii throttling but have completely ignored GK110 and continue to show performance with 1 min. benches, instead of warming up the cards. Tom's, because they were showing off Gigabytes aftermarket cooler, showed the ineffectiveness of the Titan cooler in this one review and Hardware.fr always warms up cards and tests inside of a case. They add a couple of fans or, in some reviews, set the fan @85% and up the temp target to 94°C to get GK110 to maintain higher clocks.
AMD has always been better at keeping a lid on their next-gen products. Nvidia always has leaks with their upcoming tech. It gives AMD a chance to come out of left field as they usually do after an Nvidia release, just as they did with the R9 series compared to the Kepler series.
GK110 suffers throttling from it's max boost frequencies with the reference cooler, too.

Would be interesting if they offer one with a water block already attached.
Thats a 295x2 you know...
Well, 2x 290x really, but still..

Since this is about incoming possible "390x" figured should post this here.
let the speculation begin!
I'm tempted to not open the box of my GTX980s when they arrive tomorrow. 3 more days after that isn't too long.. AAh who am I kidding
At that point I'll still be in my return period so lets see what AMD has up their sleeve.
My gut tells me it's something else other than a new High end GPU but mere days will tell.
Well shite . . . I have a 980 sitting in my cart. I suppose the whole point of these teases is to make guys who are on the fence like me hesitate, and it surely worked.
That's a confirmation for sure that it's a GPU, his comment included @amdradeon and @nvidiageforce
We have a new Graphics card coming for sure.
