AMD R7 1700x

Crazy deal for an 8 core, I just paid $10 less for an r5 2600.

Microcenter has them for $179 plus a $30 savings if you buy a "compatible eligible motherboard" from them.

This was my dilemma when choosing between the 2600x or 1700x -- and they were nearly the same price. Ultimately, I went with the 2600 for the slightly better IPC and higher OC: I just don't need those extra 2 cores for many things.
