R590 makes appearance

Interesting, a X1800 GTO does not sound bad at all. I mean the X800 GTO was and still is a very good card. A X1800 GTO sounds great, and probably will provide exceptional performance. Wonder how Crossfire will be on these.

X80GTO was great, if ATi does the smae job on x1800GTO they wil definetelly get some lead ;)

Kristopher is wrong/biased. First he refers to the X1800pro..there was no X1800 pro. Then he calls R520 a disappoinment. Maybe it was late but it performed reasonably well. So that's kinda a uncalled for statement for a card the eqaul of 7800 GTX.

Anyway this might be pretty nice, depending if they dont cut too much, and if it fell to 249 or less even better. Any higher and a 7800GT might be just as good?

The 80nm part is the R600 as stated in the article which is ATi's next gen DX10 part. It should have a unified pipeline architecture like the R500 X360 GPU. It is not a refresh X1950XT part.

ATI better come up with a new naming scheme. X2800XT is just stupid.

ATI taped a 80nm part in nov of 05 . I doubt it was the R600(r620) So ati won't have a HDCP card till oct . Well they won't sell a lot in the high end than.(after July)

All the GPU's support HDCP, it is the card makers that dont put the decoding chip on the card that makes them non-HDCP, not the core. Read the thread about HDCP.

Also read your own article : "The same source also indicated that 80nm R600 would be available this October. Details beyond that are still light. "

They state right there the 80nm part is R600.

Ya I was aware of that but if those guys put the key on those cards later I think that will piss a lot of people off. If G71 has it on there cards I will have to switch customers to that card as that would qualify as a better quality card in my eye's
