This is nothing we haven't already known for awhile. It's odd that the Inquirer is sort of bashing ATI here, but there is nothing newsworthy about this.

Its well-known that you need an external cable for Crossfire. And a master card to drive it. And there would be little point in releasing a master R520 initially as no board exist yet to support Crossfire.

Ah but whatever. Yet another R520 thread. Let the flaming commence!
 
a 5 day old inq link? why not just pick one of hundreds...where do these people come from? No offense but if you want a discussion/fight/what ever, use the search function, theres plenty of them already.

The Inquirer is about as accurate as anyones guess on here..... in any subject. Seems like they change the R520s specs once a week atleast.
