R420 vs NV40

Im sure this has been beat to death already but does anyone have any new information/benchmarks/screenshots on these cards? Im thinking of upgrading for D3/HL2. Any pictures or theoretical specs comparisons between the 2 would be welcome also.

I was a die hard nvidia fan until the 9700 came out and now nvidia has been playing catch up in my opinion. Im really hoping the r420 is the better card but would have 0 problem buying a NV40 if it kicks the r420s ass.

There's not much known on either of them. But a general look-over on the first couple pages of threads in this forum will give you a good idea on what we do know.

Bit boys will be back, and own both nv40 and r420 with their prototype card, which not only achieves at lest 30 billion fps in all modern games, but also cures cancer.
