I'm looking for a very silent 120mm fan. However, one that can push 52cfm. I can't seem to find one, yet the thermaltake silentcat 92mm pushes 52@21dB and has good reviews. I might be building a new case, and I'll need 3 120's, so help me out, I'm trying to keep dB in the lower 20s.

quietest 120mm?

I've been doing some looking around myself today for a 120mm fan to go with my girlfriends new Scythe Ninja. The queitest one I have been able to find is this the Nexus 120mm Silent Fan 22 dba and 37 CFM.
Edit: BTW, I wouldnt trust those 92mm Thermaltake fan specs. Its been my experience their fans specs are always too good to be true.

First off, I have no clue what Thermaltake is on, but there specs are far beound anything posible.. 21dba with 52cmf? HAHAHA 21dba is only 40cmf tops on any 120mm fan
in otherwards, thermaltake lies... anyways, you basically asking for a fan that move alot of air but it quite, but that pretty much an oximoron. If you want air flow, you will have to deal with some noise. Might I sugest a good quality 120mm and a fan controller?
I have a Antec tricool fan (3 to be exact) and the 120mm on low is pretty silent, and on high it defently move air..

The coolermaster 120mm fans are extremely quiet, but dont move that much of air.
and yes thermaltake does lie,but my suggestion is get a loud thermaltake/enermax/antec/etc and a fan controller.

Agreed. I've got one for my case exhaust and it's very quiet. It moves enough air to get the hot stuff out. I've also got a 80x80x35 side window fan and a 120mm in the front. My ambient temps are around 35C idle. Of course, there are a LOT of variables in each person's case. I'm just sayin' I'm happy with my exhaust fan and it does what it's supposed to.
