I need a way to silence my current power supply, or get a newer, quieter one.

i currently have one of these

any suggestions?

i've heard good things about those fortron PSU's
i sorta want one of those in the near future

120mm fan Fortron for quiet at low price.

PCP&C Silencer power supplies are actually fairly loud as far as quiet components go. However, any of their power supplies with the fan replaced by a Panaflo L1A is usually very quiet. you could put L1As in your current PSU and volt mod them for even quieter.

well I am leaning more towards modding my current power supply as an entirely new one really is not in the budget nor practical.

I know that my power supply has two fans and that one of them is 80mm and the other is 120mm. The panaflo L1a is known to be silent, but it is 80mm. I would also need a quiet 120mm fan, of which particular model panaflo I am not certain.

i have a 350 watt fortron in one of my computers, it has 2 fans for cooling and is pretty quiet.

... then again, it might be that i just can't hear it at all over the damn delta in there :( ...i'll replace that sooner or later

just volt mod the fan in the power supply, its the cheapest way to drop 20db and if your house doesnt get about 100F it should be just fine

change the fans to sum stealth fans with high CFM

and/or add rubber grommets to the screws between the fan and PSU chassis
