I have a ms internet keyboard, but it's making too much noise and my dad is about to kill me.

Is the logitech mx 700 silent? Suggestions?
 
wow, you must be one DAMN hard typer, have you tried settingn a towel or something under your keyboard? my other suggestion would be to get one of those rubber indistructable keyboads, thoes should be quite

Love the keyboard. Will be buying another for my server here in a bit hopefully. Has (2) USB Ports on it also! I use only 1/2 the hotkeys, but they are handy. Oh and it is the low profile keys like a laptop, so it takes some time to get used to if your used to standard keys.

Ahh thats my 2nd favorite keyboard. Keys are rubber coated and so they are more muted than standard plastic keys. The black ones look nice.
 
The Microsoft keyboards are quiet, I just got one from alienware but you can find them on newegg.com

Great keyboard, but it isn't too quiet. Keys kind of sound like they are clacking when typing quickly :D
 
Aple Pro keyboard is much quieter than the MS Natural I was using before. The quietest I have used is the Logitech DiNovo.

Agreed, doesn't make the normal keyboard sounds, its pretty quiet, and works ine on a PC.
 
You must have paper thin ceilings if your dad can hear you type from downstairs. I have the Cordless elite in teh MX duo, and I find it mildly quiet, quieter than my old Dell Quietkey.

I'd have to go with the suggestion of the Cooler Master aluminum keyboard. It's like the laptop keyboards and when I tried one in store, it had great tactile feel and I could type really fast with it. Newegg has them for relatively cheap ($20?).
 
I would also vote for the Apple Keyboard, if only they are not that expensive.
 
Right now I'm using one of those MS MM keyboards and it's much quieter then the Natural version (my perferred KB). If only my Natural was just as quiet. :(

I would shy away from those roll up "virtually indestructable" keyboards. I've used them before and you dont get a very good tactile feel from the keys. It would probably piss you off after a couple days and then you would have to try to destroy its insolent indestructable ass!
