I'm looking to overclock the 3570k to about 4.6GHz, and I'd like to have as quiet a configuration as possible.
I'm thinking of getting the XSPC Raystorm 750 RX240. How loud is the pump noise, vs say the noise on the Noctua ND/ph-tc14pe fans? Are they in general quite soft? Will it be worth the extra cash from a purely noise perspective? (My understanding is that the phanteks/noctua is sufficient for cooling the overclocked ivy, but I'm pushing for the most silent option available)
Which fans will be good for the casing? Scythe or Cougar? I can't get Asaka here. 120mm or 140mm? My video card is just a EVGA GT640 so it'll probably not be that loud (right?) Still, I'm game for changing the fans on the video card as well if I can derive any benefit from that. What about the push/pull on the radiator? can i get away with no fans on it?
I emphasize that I'd like to go as quiet as possible, if possible I'd like to have no fans at all and have my PC run at 0db
but I have a nagging feeling that won't be possible. Please also bear in mind that I live in Malaysia where the ambient temps are typically in the 80degrees F region.
