QUIET card for new computer?

Well, the cards themselves, of course the 8800 with the fan is not as quiet as the fanless 7950. Bur go read page 1, the total system noise level is less with the 8800 because the case doesn't heat up as much. This is because the 8800 is blowing the hot air out the back of the case while the 7950 is heating up the inside of the case, making the rest of the fans run louder.
 
If you're just playing HL2 you didn't need an 8800 lol. I've got an overclocked 7900GS KO that runs CSS and Episode 1 maxed out at 1680x1050 with the minimum fps around 50.

CSS stress test averages like 120fps

Also all superclocked means is that its overclocked a bit. Something you could've done on your own and saved like $80 or so.
