My specs are in the sig. All this is in this case: http://www.newegg.com/app/Showimage...15-02.JPG/11-125-715-07.JPG/11-125-715-03.JPG

Right now it has 2 fans blowing in the front, 2 out the back, the stock GeForce 4 fan on the video card, stock cpu cooler, and 2 fans in the TruBlue powersupply. Where should I start?! I'm thinking about ordering a zalman cooler fan for the cpu and then building a fan bus so as to have adjustments on the fans and slow down the case fans alot. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there a cheap and easy water cooler solution? I'm willing to spend a few hundred if it makes this thing silent cool :)

You didn't mention what your temps are. If your main quest is decent temps quietly, then consider building yourself a water cooling system. You can build either an internal or external system depending on the size of your case or preference for anywhere from $140 to $175 depending on how good a shopper you are. Get a good pump with decent flow rate and a good water block. I have been using the blocks from Danger Den, the Maze 3 and now the RBX for the 64 chip and so far have had very good results with them.

1) Buy yourself a full size tower.
2) Ditch every single case fan (exhaust and intake)
3) Get yourself sometype of heatpipe for your video card (Zalman)
4) A good cpu cooler with an 80mm vantec stealth fan.
5) Whisper quiet PSU (Enermax)

Most of all, enable the Cool and Quiet feature of your motherboard (if it's present). You'll have the quietiest system going.

Where can I buy a decent radiator? I'm thinking about using a small mini case to house a water cooling system w/ 2 120MM fans/radiator/pump/small resevoir. Should be a fun project. I can get a pump at an aquarium shop and the resevoir is easy to take care of. Any suggestions on radiators? I've read of bong type cooling solutions but I'd rather have something sealed that doesn't lose water. Anyone know anything about putting a switch in the tube to detect pump failures and shutdown the computer?

My goal temp is to be below 38ºC Load CPU/GPU Temp. I want the noise to be barely noticable.

That is done easly. My 64 3400 runs right at 35C loaded all the time. Right now it is early morning and I am typing this with folding going in the background and it is 31C.

I have 3 80m fans going with the wc, one intake and 2 exhaust out the back and those three fans make twice the noise of the wc, and you just barely hear them.

I'm going out this weekend to try to find a pump and 3/8" tubing. Anyone have any suggestions for which waterblock to get for cpu/gpu and where to get a decent radiator? I plan to run everything internal except the radiator which will be in a small box sitting on top of the case w/ 120MM fans blowing through it.

Can't wait :) Also going to put together a fanbus to regulate the speed of the case fans.

the sonata is quiet and decently cooled (even with 1 fan), im probably going to pick up another hsf eventually (im currently using the retail one). My temps are about 35 idle mid 40's under load
