Anyone know how i can configure so whenever i open a movie file from a link, it launches in another window in quicktime rather than launching in my firefox browser?

thanks,

That's a good question. I'd like to know how that would work, not only for Quicktime but for every media software.

Within Firefox, go to Tools > Options... > Content > File Types > Manage... and select the files you want to change to either open with with a certain application or download automatically.

I have a similar issue, but different :)

Quicktime has hijacked .wav files in Firefox, and the box you speak of is empty. I want my wav's to go to WMP because quicktime only plays half of my ATT voicemails for some bizarre reason.

People still use Mac WMP? It's been discontinued, you know. Microsoft is offering Flip4Mac as its replacement.
