So here's the story:
I was in on and off contact with him about Supreme Commander Gold Edition NIB. ($8 shipped)
I sent him the money after he gave me the okay. (January 29th)
It's now the 3rd (5 days) and no response to my pm's or gmail, also no tracking number.

http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1388369
He has been online since then... but no response.

I'm not saying this is a troll, but I would like some kind of contact...

I know your anxious, but I'd give it a couple of days more. During the wait just continue to send him PMs and emails. If you have a phone number, try calling him.

lack of communication is no excuse especially if he's has logged on. Make sure to leave a very accurate heat ware evaluation. If a seller is too busy then he/she has no place to be on the forums trading. A trader is as good as his/her last deal.

I think I have a right to be anxious about this. Like I said, contact was sporadic, but I figured he was busy.

Now he has been on gmail (it seems just to check his mail) and signs off within 2 minutes of me messaging him.

Maybe if an admin can PM or email him that would work. I will leave an accurate heatware evaluation, trust me. (as soon as this is sorted out)

Right now, I think it will be a neutral feedback if I get the game.
Negative if I even have to call PayPal or my CC company.

I paid him for an opteron 170 he had for sale, it took him a few days to get me his paypal information because he said he needed to reformat over the weekend. However I haven't heard from him in a couple days since I paid for the Opty on the 1st.

I will however give him the benefit of doubt for a few more days considering other people have bought items from him with no apparent problems

And his heatware is posted under his email address...

HTML:

i would give him some time. I mean he hasn't posted since the 29th or logged on since the 31st. Its quite possible he didnt see he had PMs.

i bought a phone from him and received in described condition

When was this? When did you pay, and when did you get it? Did you get a tracking number?

Like I said - he has been on gmail since then... just about every day, no response to my emails or chats.

Seems kind of fishy to me.

All items have been shipped, emailed JDM 3 times and he never seems to reply. I also shipped out the Opty today. I never pay for tracking I just pay for insurance so that I don't get scammed out of my money. Thanks

Whoa - don't pin this on me. Gmail is nearly flawless... and we both have it.

I have not gotten anything email wise from you. logandoan@gmail.com
It seems to work for everyone else on hardforum, so I don't know what's up. You couldn't respond to my chats?

When were the items shipped? When should I expect them? (shipping method?)

You don't pay for tracking.... because usps scams you out of your money? So how do I know that the items are shipped? Do I have to trust your one heatware feedback?

On a side note, how will you know that I got the item?

On top of this:
Michael: your a pain in the ass to work with im going to just refund you
Sent at 11:16 PM on Tuesday
me: Look, I'm concerned about my money... I don't know who wouldn't be..
Name calling is not necessary
Michael: lol its $9 im just going to refund you and leave neg feedback due to lack of communication. You never respond to my emails [negro-replacced... rhymes with ♥♥♥♥♥♥]
me: I did not say you are a troll...
or anything..
I was just concerned..
I never got any of your emails.. you can even email gmail and find out.

from gmail chat... signs on and off.

side note: well this is interesting. im selling something to jdm and just bought something from quicks. quite a triangle here.

anyways my item from quicks was shipped the day after payment via priority mail insured. i suppose delivery confirmation is not necessary since insured mail generally doesn't get lost or disappear without replacement? regardless I'm sure this is just a communication error gone horribly wrong.

A few points as I close this thread

OP: It's been less than a week. Starting a troll thread when it hasn't been that long isn't okay. You need to chill out a bit. With regards to worrying about his feedback, etc.... that does *no* good after the fact. That's what you should be doing before you send payment, along with getting contact information including a phone number.

Seller: Better communication is of course key. I don't know the details of your e-mail issues, but the PM system here works quite well. Logging in often is necessary when you are selling here.
USPS Insurance numbers will sometimes work as a DC number online, but, that's not a sure thing at all. If you pay for postage via Paypal, you get DC for free on Priority Mail, or at a reduced rate of a $0.18 on other classes of mail, vs $0.65 and $0.75 at the retail counter. It's always worth it to get at least delivery confirmation. You will automatically lose a Paypal dispute if you can't provide proof of delivery. Plus, it's just common courtesy.

With regards to the name calling in the private conversation, that's not really for me to judge. But, just remember that nothing is truly private, and your words will make their way online. Respectful communication, even when tempers are flaring and people are angry and frustrated, is one of the keys to being a good trader.

My final thought is this: Seller, if you really shipped the item today, why are you refunding the buyer's payment? You're really going to eat the $9 and he'll still get the game? That doesn't make any sense. Most people are fine with an item taking a few days to ship, as long as you keep in communication, and provide accurate shipping promises and delivery info. It's when they are ignored or provided with inaccurate information that they are upset, even if with the exact same timeline.

I just wanted to let people know that he actually did ship the CPU that was owed me and I received it.

However in the future I will not be doing business with him due to poor communication and misinformation about shipping the product days before. The box I received has a ship date of Feb 10th on the shipping label, but on the 3rd of Feb he posted this;

same thing happened to me. I got my item as described, but it was shipped over a week later than what he said.

seems like it was a last ditch effort to keep the feds off.

if this is the case then why did you leave him a POSITIVE heat eval?

ixbiosxi's heat eval of quickS said:
Comments:
Received the processor and heat sink exactly as described and packaged very well.

Do you realized that YOUR positive eval gives him credibility against the one neg he has, and undermines the entire heatware system. We depend on HONEST evals so that those traders can make INFORMED decisions. You blew it big time dude. He deserved a "neutral" with explianation why in the comment field.

And what heat eval did you leave him? Don't cop out and not leave any, you can get retalitory negs removed.

EDIT: it's also clear that QuickS left retalitory neg for whoever left him the deserved neg. QuickS is a TROLL. Whoever got the retal neg needs to contact heatware, they'll remove it.

Neutral evals to me are a joke, I know for one I don't pay attention to them. The reason why is no matter how much you try you can't please everyone and some people just won't be happy no matter what. I left positive heat because I recevied my product as described.

I posted in this forum the trouble I had along with everyone else that was dealing with him. I believe if someone wants to buy something from someone else they need to do more than just reference heatware anyways.

If you use PayPal Shipping, you save in a Lot of ways:

1)__You automatically get a USPS Delivery Confirmation #
2)__Your USPS Delivery Confirmation # is registered to the PayPal payment
3)__You don't have to wait in line at the Post Office, just drop off the prepaid package

If I want insurance when I am the buyer, I ask for it

But in my experience, Every Body wants tracking/DC# so they can see when itsa coming ;)

Unfortunately USPS tracking is a joke, I received a piece 3 days after it said it was being processed. Never once did it update to tell me where the product is or what was going on. I checked back on the website it went from processing to delivered, nothing in between.

FedEx, or UPS for me.....

Unfortunately this can really be abused by sellers. They can generate a shipping label and then either ship whenever they want or never ship.

Im very suspicious about someone that I paid for an item last weekend and then never heard from them until today. They gave me a USPS tracking number that doesnt seem real. Anyway Im about ready to unload on them very soon if I dont receive the item.........but im being very patient..........very patient....very patient......

That's because USPS doesn't do tracking (except on Express Mail), they do delivery confirmation. Those are *not* the same thing

I assumed it was the same thing because when you check the link it says track a package. Good to know, still a joke that they don't do tracking on all packages.

I left negative heat for him.

ixbiosxi - you should have done the same, but that's for your own reasons.

"Michael: sigh you leave me no choice but to leave negative feedback and you might be getting banned from heatware for spamming"

I am tired of this.

He means if some troll got pissed cause you left him a neg and then he leaves a neg on your profile for no reason, then heatware will be slow to remove that wrongful neg (or sometimes won't even remove it).

Dunno, when I posted double evals accidentally it took them two days since I contacted support to remove it.

Seems not just fine, but absolutely excellent for a free service to me.

you gotta be fucking kidding me. This actually makes sense to you? To leave a glowing positive in this situation? I'm sure the troll appreciates the help.

Yeah it does sweet heart, he sent my product. I wont be buying from him again and I told people here in the forum that I wont. Other people have ordered from him and got what they ordered and on time.

As far as I'm concerned it's over for me, but you can harp on the subject as long as you want.

Just because someone doesn't have the same standards to what constitutes positive/neutral/negative feedback doesn't entitle you to mock him.
