Do you always shut off via start>turn off/restart, or reset button? I've noticed when I change positioning of my quick-launches, and have to use the reset (or BSOD/random reboot/power outage/etc), that the settings don't seem to get 'saved'.. If there is some registry key to have it auto-saved, I don't know of it - sure would be nice if such a thing existed.
