I'm just wanting to bump my graphics up a little bit to keep my current system going till I can afford a major rebuild.. I currently have:

AMD Phenom II x4 965 3.46 mhz cpu
Radeon HD 7800 1gig of ram
AsRock 870 Extreme 3 MB with 8 gigs of ram
windows 10 64 bit

I'm thinking for my situation a video card bump will keep me chugging on guild wars 2 for a bit till the overhaul. I'm thinking one of these two, but i'm open to suggestions.. Prefer to keep it under $200 and a nvidia flavor of some sort.

EVGA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti GAMING, 4GB GDDR5, DX12 OSD Support

or this

ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1050 Ti OC Edition, 4GB GDDR5 DisplayPort 128-bit PCI-E Graphic Card
https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01M27X994/ref=psdc_284822_t1_B01MEFABEL

And now my fonts are off.. any ways, suggestions?

Should be a solid upgrade!

Also, use the slanted icon (second from the right) to remove formatting.

Which one of the two would you personally go with? Either or?

For a non-longterm solution to fix you up until your next big upgrade, I'd go with the Zotac. They are identical cards as far as base features, but the factory overclock is better on the Zotac, as is its cooling solution with the dual fan setup.

Can't really go wrong with either choice though... basically the same underlying hardware.

Excellent choice!

Thanks! Installed it today, definitely improved things.. Now i'm wondering if I can do a clean windows 10 install on a computer that got the free windows 10 upgrade from windows 7.. And how to freaking do it lol... I think the years of drivers and madness on this machine has given it some sorta computer cancer with all the random crap files

That would be a wise decision and you could probably find instructions all over the interwebs on how to.

Just click on your start button and type "reset". It gives you the option of resetting windows and also clearing the software, or it lets you clear absolutely everything. Then you would have a lean, clean, machine. I personally do full resets since I keep all my files on an external.

Are you shitting me?

Tried the reset route while keeping my files.. It ran into a problem while doing so :-/ maybe be able to do it if I let it wipe everything.. So backing up what I can now and will give it a shot shortly
