With the latest Dell coupon for 35% off the 2005fpw (MXHR9GPW46WWWJ), I'm seriously thinking of grabbing one tonight before it expires. My other choice is the samsung 930b which has a $90 rebate until saturday so gonna make the decsion one way or another today.

I like the fact that the Dell is an IPS screen and only 12ms, but worried with all of the reports of quality and backlight issues. The samsung is a TN panel at 8ms, and I'll be playing some games but maybe 20% time if that and am worried about its colors.

Any last minute advice from owners of either would be great.

Thanks,

Get the Dell. If it's bad, exchange it. You have 21 days to do whatever you want with it... The latest revisions have much less cases of bleeding.

If you're worried about colors, don't get a TN monitor. There is a visible difference between 6+2 and 8 bit per pixel color.
The 2005FPW problems are old news. Mine is amazing. Even a 2001FP would be a good choice.
If you mostly played games, then you'd want a TN monitor.
