quick SATA3 question

very quick question. planning on getting a new shiny new SSD sometime in the next month or so. that of course means SATA3.

my question is will this work on a SATA2 mainboard? i understand that i will not achieve speeds over SATA2 limits, but i do plan to upgrade sometime in the future and i see no reason not to carry over this SSD when i do. if it simply will work slower i'll be quite happy.
