i bought a pair of cheap sennheiser headphones from newegg because there was a rebate promotion for $15 if you sent in an old pair of earbuds. i included ALL the UPCs that were on the package to avoid any crap that the rebate houses usually pull. to make a short story long...i got an email tonight saying that my submission was invalid because of an "invalid upc" so i sent them this
"Comments: its impossible that i sent in an invalid UPC. i sent in every UPC that was on the package and i only bought the headphones because of the rebate offer that was linked from the newegg.com item page. please review my rebate submission again. i have already posted on several hardware enthusiast forums about this denial. thanks for your time. -angelo"
i emailed them that at 9:34 and before i even had time to finish an email to sennheiser they responded with "Thank you for your rebate inquiry. You are a valued customer, so we are pleased to inform you that we have updated your record. Your rebate submission is now valid. The rebate check should be mailed in the next 4-6 weeks."
ahhhh...the power of empty threats.
