Quick Radiator Questions

Okay, so my first question is, if I get a radiator core, will painting it hurt the ability of the core to dissipate of heat? i assume not, but it never hurts to ask!

Second, is there actually any reasonable difference in these different levels (and more importantly, prices) of radiators on websites such as danger den. I'm talking about a Black Ice Pro vs a Black Ice Extreme, etc.

Then I also wanted to know peoples opinions on push vs pull configurations.

thank ya

I would imagine painting will hurt performance. But very very small.

I don't know if there is a difference, between the radiators you mentioned. If you want to go cheap get a heatercore.

Remember marketing will suck you dry of your money.

I painted a heater core, just make sure not to spray paint down into the fins. Spray it at an angle and everything should be fine. I didn't notice a temperature change.

The black Ice extreme is a better rad for High Flow w/ lots of airflow, the Pro is better at lower flow rates with quieter fans.

I installed my heatercore in the bottom front section of my case in a pull configuration (pull cool air in through radiator) and it works just fine. I also tried pushing the air, but for me it just lead to higher dB with negligible performance change.
I recommend trying both...it can't hurt.
