The power lead that goes into the PSU, does it matter what one you use? Or are they all the same?

The power lead for what?

Are you talking about the drive Molexes? Those are always on the same rails. Some 3 and 4 rail PSU's will put SATA on a separate rail.

You can get away with using almost any of them... but you'll find that some are a lot stiffer than others. Check out the head of them and you'll see that they're rated. Some in Watts. Some in Volts/Amps. Pay attention to that. Thicker cables will get more juice to your PSU with less resistance.
