Just ordered a ton of stuff from FrozenCPU for my case. I just wanted to say that those guys kick some serious but when it comes to mod supplies.

Anywho, now for my question...

I have UV paint and want to use it on my video card. now, it shouldn't be electric conductive, but what particular method should I choose for application, etc?
 
you can always test conductivity but spraying paint in a little cup/dish and testing it with a multimeter either wet or dry

if you dont have a multimeter, hook up a light bulb and a battery but be careful incase its flammable

if its conductible and you still want to use it, you could probably cover your cards with like a layer or two of clingwrap which should separate the paint and electronic although its not so safe

i meant the clear wrap, not aluminum foil
 
I know you have more common sense than this, but please don't wrap your video card in anything. That just doesn't make any sense. I think it would look cool if you just painted individual traces or components on your video card rather than the whole thing. If you painted the whole thing then it is just one big glowing card, but if you painted parts of it then it would look like a nice piece of art(or a shitty piece of art. either way it would be cool).
 
There are people that have done this already. You really have to watch out that you don't coat any heatsinks because obviously paint will prevent heat from disipating (I kan spew). Other than that cover any contacts you need, check the conductivity (note: light bulb idea is not a good one. The conductivity needed to screw up circuits is far less than that needed to light a lightbulb. In any event don't try this on a really nice vid card. You will be lowering the life of it.
