Yea, I know, wrong forum. But I need a reply to this within the hour, and I know I can get an answer quicker here.

What is the difference between the Western Digital Special edition and the NON-special edition. Other than the 8mb buffer that is. Is is worth it to spend the extra 10 bucks?

Worth it everytime. Unless you're not worred about performance.
If your not worried about performance WHY are you anywhere near the [H]????
