9600XT or 9800SE right around the same price what should I chose and does the 9800SE have 256bit memory
 
If the 9800SE has L shaped ram it can be modded to 256-Bit interface, also can be modded to have 8 pipelines.

But if you find one with L shape get it, but if you don't get the 9600XT since of the free Half life 2.
 
If I am not mistaken isn't the Non-pro 9800s that can be modded to 9800pros and not the SE versions
