Seems a bit hight to me. I'd guess if you priced up all those parts on newegg it'd come out to about $900, but then you'd have to build it yourself.

Also that's a horrible CPU choice for a htpc. It'll run hot and need a lot of juice. A lowend Core2Duo or even an X2 3800 would be better imo.
 
I run a Prescott core P4 3.2ghz oc'd to 3.8ghz in my htpc and it runs just fine, and sold and has done so for the last 18months.
