I'm just curious but I've got a raptor and two terabyte drives. If I want to reinstall windows I usually unplug my two TB's because otherwise windows installs part of itself on one of them.

Is there a way to install windows without unplugging my two TB drives?

As long as you can tell your hard drives apart in the BIOS, all you need is to give boot priority to the drive you want to install Windows on before you start the installation, and leave the other drives connected.

But, if you want to be sure, disconnect them.

Pretty sure I've done that before and windows still installs a part of itself on another drive. It's been a while so I'm not positive.

The other problem is, Windows will assign the letter C to the first of your TB drives. The easiest way to do this is unplug the drives, or disable them in the BIOS, if you don't feel like getting into your case.

Yeah I just unplugged them, it's not that hard.

I just wish windows was a little smarter than that, I mean I shouldn't have to unplug anything :/

Is something special about a "terabyte drive"?

I have installed XP, Vista and Windows 7 onto a drive with 3 other drives attached to the motherboard. Windows is only installed on the drive I have selected, which had boot priority, and was given drive letter C each and every time.
