Quick question on SATA compatibility

I have a SATA II hard drive: http://www.directron.com/0a30356.html and plan on upgrading my system to SLI. Since my system is a small form factor, I am limited to a board that supports SATA I. Will I have compatibility issues?

FYI, there are no jumpers on my hard drive and it came OEM with no manual.

Any help is appreciated.

I'm guessing you wouldnt have any problems, its the same connector and everything I dont think that you'll get the sata II transfer speeds youll be bottle necked at sata I speeds

I knew that, I won't get all the SATA II features either. But no big deal, nowhere near all the bandwidth of SATA I is used, let alone that of SATA II

Except that SATA-II doesn't really exist, it is only a marketing term for a set of features (300mbps, NCQ, probably more I can't think of). This is not to mention the fact that 150mbps bandwidth is enough for every single SATA drive on the market right now.

I think Port multiplication and port selection are also in the recommendations from SATA IO, Vertigo Acid.

Anyway, like everyone said, there should really be no problem going back in bus speeds.
