The Swiftech MCP655 and the Danger Den DD12V-D5 Pump are exactly the same right? Each company just throws their name on the label correct?

I thought the D5's were the same as the MCP650? A review I was reading said the MCP655 had a new chipset that didn't whine like the 650's. Then some consumer reviews for the D5 at DD's website said the D5 made a sound like a TV being turned on. Definitly confused! :confused:

You are confusing the D5 with the D4

Laing D4 = 12V DD-D4 = MCP650
Laing D5 = 12V DD-D5 = MCP655

And just for completeness

Laing DDC = 12V DD-DDC = MCP350
AquaXtreme50Z = MCP600 = ??? (anyone know the real mfgr?)
