Well ive been having some explorer crashes, so i think its times for a fresh install of xp pro, i need it haven't for about a year.

My only guestion is-

i have a 40gig drive that is my systems drive, and then i have 2 160gigs in Raid 0.

If i format the 40gig and reinstall windows on it, then when im back in windows and install the Raid Drivers, will i loose the data on those drives, or am i safe?

Thanks,
Dan

You should be safe doing it that way, it's the sensible way to set them up for data security so I wouldnt worry if I was you

its always safest to physically disconnect any drive that is not being reformatted, just for safety sake

also, if the RAID drive is encrypted make sure to backup the certificates or youll never gain access to it again

also you will more than likely need to disable simple file sharing and take ownership of the files and folders once your done.
